Trift explores the ideal of perfect, high-gloss surfaces by creating and destroying them within the same object. Each form and surface derives from the individual size, characteristics and gradual transformations over time of the underlying tree-log.

The Medley Institute

In der Debut-Kollektion A/1 von The Medley Institute ist eine Serie gefärbter Tücher entstanden. The Medley Institute nutzt eine alte japanisch Färbetechnik als Ausgangspunkt und stellt diese in einen neuen Kontext.
Ein Bestandteil der Philosophie von The Medley Institute ist, dass man in Zusammenarbeit mit anderen Kreativen aus unterschiedlichen Fachbereichen, neue Produkte und Ideen entstehen lässt, die befreit von modischen Phänomenen zwischen den Eckpunkten Design, Fashion, Konzept und Kunst pendeln.

Die Kollektion A/1 wird präsentiert im Rahmen einer Ausstellung vom 29.1. -19.2.2010 in der Galerie Staircase in Berlin, in der außerdem Raumobjekte sowie Fotografien der Künstlerin Anne Schwalbe gezeigt werden.
